I’m Baaaaack!

May 21, 2006

Well, here I am! Well, not quite. New Beginnings is where I am, that’s my new Sims 2 blog, and it is still set in Victoria Hill. This old one will stay here just as a bit of backstory for the new one.

http://scally.blogsome.com

I’ve added a link for New Beginnings, and the first post has been completed (I know, big fat hairy deal!)! Hopefully (crosses fingers) that you will all like it just as much, although I like it even better (that’s just me, I’m weird). Also, if you have a link to Victoria Hill on your site, could you please update it? I won’t be updating this site anymore, and I absolutely hate old links, and dead links. Thanks very much!

Update

May 8, 2006

Well, I’ve re-installed, started Simming again, and I’m getting to the point where I have a few story ideas swimming around inside my head. My muse has also returned home from holiday, which is great, hopefully, I’ll be back soon!

Something Lurking…

March 23, 2006

Well, folks, I’m finally tossing around a few new ideas, but whether or not they’ll actually work, I have no idea. Maybe in a couple of weeks I’ll be ready to reinstall the Sims 2, although Bobby’s descendants will not be coming back unless I re-create them (quite frankly, the lot of them were annoying me).

Oh, and Katie? I do indeed read the older posts, and my gosh, I must have been in a really rotten mood when I wrote those Sasha updates!

Boredom

March 10, 2006

Hey guys!

There aren’t going to be any updates for a while, mostly because I’m getting bored. There’s only so many times I can write about the same old thing without struggling, and my updates over the last month or so seem to be a little stale. I thought OFB would help, but so far it hasn’t. I’m going to keep the blog up though, at least for a while, and in the hope that I can come up with something that won’t bore me, and everyone else, to death.

So, a big thank you to:

I will still be keeping up with your blogs, and maybe I’ll even get some fresh ideas somewhere along the road!

Engagements And Graduations

March 9, 2006

Now, my friends, are you all ready for another dose of the family from old Grandma Missy?

What do you think those terrible twins of mine are up to? Well, not much, actually. They’re just enjoying their positions as Mad Scientist (Andrew) and Business Tycoon (Brian) respectively, and making sure the children are happy, although Brian leaves that up to Jill. He doesn’t really seem too interested in Georgia and Henry. He was going to try and get them into private school (mostly so they wouldn’t be anywhere near George), but neither of them was interested. Never mind, the three of them, George, Henry and Georgia, will be heading off to college before long, I suppose.

Well, that’s two sets of twins dealt with, now onto the third set, Daniel and Dylan.

You remember me telling you about how they’d both fallen in love, right? Well, they both took it one step further in Senior Year, and presented rings to their sweethearts.

danengage />
Daniel proposed to Brandi just after Senior year started, and so got one up on his brother.
dylanengage />
Dylan waited until the night before the finals before he popped the question to Stacy.

I needn’t tell you that both girls said yes, right? So, that makes two new weddings coming to the neighbourhood! Actually, I don’t know if they’ll be actual weddings, or if they’ll be the lounge-room ones of old. You’d think they’d give some kind of hint, wouldn’t you?

Ah, well, I suppose it’s their choice whichever way they decide to do things, isn’t it?

Anyway, it’s time for the graduation photos.

First up, Daniel.

dangrad
A nice looking boy, or I suppose I should say man, isn’t he?
dylangrad
And here’s Dylan, who I think looks like his mother.

Well folks, I must head away now, it’s time to give my boys another haunt!

Love,
Missy

A Wedding, and Other News

March 8, 2006

Hello my friends!

I have another big story concerning the family for you today. Now, where to start? I think I’ll start with the good news. Now, don’t look at me like that, there isn’t any bad news, just the good, the great, and the excellent.

Now, onto the good news.

It was, among other things, Danae and Aiden’s wedding day, finally, the day they, and everyone else, has been waiting for. The wedding itself was small, just Danae, Aiden, Matt and Rosie, but the reception, held at Annie’s, was absolutely huge, as all the relatives and their children came.

Anyway, here are the pictures from the wedding.

danaewed

thetoast
(Somebody should tell Matt that you’re supposed to drink through your mouth, not your nose!)

Doesn’t the bride look beautiful? Anyway, she and Aiden headed off on their honeymoon, which they’re spending in Hawaii, which should prove nice and relaxing for the both of them.

Now, onto the great news.
campreg2
Guess who’s getting a sibling? This is the news I’ve been waiting for! Funnily enough, Charlie doesn’t seem anywhere near as excited about this one, but then again, he is under a lot of stress at work, and I know perfectly well how he feels, because I was a judge myself, remember? It’s okay if you don’t, I won’t hold it against you. I wonder what they’ll name this one?

Now, finally, time for the excellent news.

keltkid
Do you know who this little boy is? (Of course you do)

No? (You fibber)

Then I’ll give you a hint (Not that you need it, right?): He was the
first, and he turned 5 today!

What’s that? (I can hear perfectly, I’m just pretending I can’t)

It’s Kelton, you say? (I did hear you the first time.)

You’re exactly right! The firstborn of Generation Five has taken a big stride! Well, as big as those stubby little legs of his can take, anyhow. He’s an amazing little boy, you know, and he can actually see me, when others can’t. I’ve had quite a few little chats with him already, but don’t worry, Chas and Cam think he has an imaginary friend!

Take care now,
Payton out!

(Hey Katie! I’m glad you’re enjoying this incredibly wacko bunch that I thought up, and your blog is pretty neat, too! May I add you to my links list?)

Eric Storms The College

March 7, 2006

I’m back again, my friends!

I have only a small tale for you today, as not a lot has been happening around here lately. Although, I do have some interesting chats with Kelton, and so does Bobby (Actually, I’m lying. It’s two small tales).

Anyway, Rosie and Matt’s little miracle from beyond the stars has settled himself at college with absolutely no problems, which is really quite swell. He’s decided that he wants to study Biology, which is odd. I don’t think he wants to be a doctor. Still, that’s not all you can do with a Biology degree, is it?

He hasn’t met the love of his life yet, although he is only a Freshman, he still has a few more years! Still, if it hasn’t happened by Sophomore year, I’ll be very surprised.

He has made a few friends, though, and they don’t seem to mind that he has green skin, or that he’s the only boy in the dorm. I don’t remember there being that many girls when I was at college, but then again, I only had eyes for my Josie.

Somebody definitely has a crush on Eric, though, and whoever it is keeps sending him mushy letters, but he doesn’t have a clue who it might be. You know, I think that might be what’s keeping him from dating. He’s been trying to discover who it might be, and I don’t think he wants to hurt her feelings, whoever she may be.

Also, the college club is getting a brand new entrant later on today, as Finlay has just headed up there. He hasn’t decided what he’s going to study yet, but I’m sure he won’t keep us in suspense for long.

fingocol

As you can imagine, Allyn was in absolute floods when that one headed out the front door, and I heard her whispering to Royce about how she hopes he’ll make more of himself than Erin has. Allyn’s still furious about that, as you can see, but Royce has accepted that it’s Erin’s choice.

Anyway, it’s time for me to go now, my friends.

Take care,
Payton out!

3 New Teens

March 6, 2006

How are you, my friends?

Grandma Missy is back again, to tell you another story, this one not so sad as the last one. That was a silly thing to say! Birthdays are always happy occasions, aren’t they? Although, in this case, the parties were completely forgotten, and the birthdays nearly were, too.

For a start, Andrew, Cherry, and George were rather busy playing with Lee, and then George seemed to realise that it was his 13th birthday, and he was no longer a child.

georgekid

georgeteen
Handsome young devil, isn’t he? Then again, I am his grandmother, so I would say that, wouldn’t I? I rather think that he preferred to let his birthday slip past, as he couldn’t have his two best friends, Georgia and Henry, over, thanks to the argument between Andrew and Brian. I wish they’d start speaking to each other again, if only for the sake of their children,

Speaking of Georgia and Henry, it was their birthday today, as well.

gnhkids

gnhteens
Brian and Jill were too busy arguing to notice that their babies got bigger, but that’s nothing new. Arguments in that house seem to be a daily occurrence now, and I really don’t know why Jill stays with him.

The kids went out just after they got bigger, and the three of them were meeting at the arcade, and Cherry and Jill have gone shopping. Perfect!

Gotta go, folks, I’ll show those boys! I bet they’ve never had food thrown at them before! At least not by me! I’ll show ‘em to be so darn stubborn!

Love,
Missy

Double Trouble Turn Grey

March 5, 2006

Hello again, my friends!

Did you know that I now have two grey-haired sons, and one grey-haired daughter?
No?
Well, I’d best explain a few things, then.

You already know about Jamie, who had his birthday not long before Chrissy headed off to college, but now, Rosie and Royce, my twins, have joined him in the grey-hair club.

I wish they could have had their parties together, like they used to when they were small, but I guess that can’t be helped. At least they had their families around them, and that’s what really counts, isn’t it?

Anyway, I managed to see both parties, which was really great, and I’ll show you Rosie’s first, since she’s the eldest by about two or three minutes.

roseyoung
It’s a shame that we can’t see Danae, although she was there, and so was Aiden.
roseold
Doesn’t she look like someone’s sweet old grandmother now? And don’t you go telling her I said that, either!

Now, onto Royce! You know, his mother was right, there is quite a resemblance to Bobby in Royce, although it wasn’t really noticeable until now.

royceyoung

royceold
It’s funny, seeing the twins like this, when I can still see them as children. Rosie was always the quiet one, whereas Royce, well, Royce was a little terror! He would never leave his sister in peace, and he got worse after Jamie left for college. I don’t mind telling you that Josie and I were dreading his teenage years, but we needn’t have bothered. He calmed down tremendously after he turned 13, and surprised us all not long after that by deciding he was going to be a family man.

Listen to my mouth run! What I’m trying to say is, I’m damn proud of Royce, and his sister, and my other two children, and don’t you dare let anyone tell you different!

Payton out!

Ed’s Last Day

March 4, 2006

Heya folks!

Grandma Missy is here again! Oh, you should have seen the look that my twins got on their faces when they heard the news!

Oops, I’m getting ahead of myself, there.

You probably already know this, but after those stubborn little monsters didn’t show up at my funeral, my Ed decided that they weren’t getting anything when he passed on, not one penny. Well, that’s exactly what happened! My Ed passed on earlier today, you know. He was only 79, too.

byeed
I had a nice little chat with Grim before he left to pick up my Ed, and he asked me if I’d mind if he had a little rest at the house when he’d finished. I had to laugh a little at that, you know. Who would have thought the Grim Reaper would be so polite?

From what his girls tell me, he made himself right at home when he had sent my Ed on, and they took some rather funny photos, which I’ll share with you.

grimloo

grimtv
Anyway, I better go now, and see how Ella’s holding up.
Love, Missy

(I know this is short, but I’m having a hard time stopping myself from laughing. I’d heard that Grim would sometimes settle in for a while, but I’d never seen it happen. Note to self: update family tree.)

It’s Puppy Love!

March 3, 2006

Hey, folks!

Well, Daniel is finally catching up to his brother in the love department! Also, he’s a bit more discreet about where he and his honey bunch snuggle up!

daninlove

The lucky girl is Brandi McClelland, younger sister of one of the school’s Llama mascots, so that should provide some interesting situations!

I was expecting Dylan and his girlfriend would have gotten engaged by now, but it’s nearly the end of Junior year already, and no sign of a ring yet. Don’t get me wrong here, I’m glad they’re taking their time and not rushing into things, but time is a’wastin’! actually, I’m kind of hoping the twins will do things the same way my boys did, and get engaged on the same day.

Speaking of my boys, they’ve still not come around, and I’m beginning to believe that the rift between them is now too big to be healed. You can’t know how sad that makes me, especially when I look at the portrait my Ed painted of them playing chess together when they were small boys. It’s a shame they’re both being so God damned stubborn about it all, because they miss each other, I know they do.

My Ed still hasn’t forgiven them for not coming to my funeral, which is such a shame. Ed’s no spring chicken, you know, and he should have his family around him. I know he’s got Ella, and the six grandkids, but that’s not the point!

Honestly, I’m so mad at Andrew and Brian at the moment, I could happily haunt them both to death!

See you soon
Mad Missy

(There may be something new in the wings for the Hill at some point, I’m going cuckoo writing about the same old thing! And I’ve still got to wait 5 days for OFB! Moment of bigheadedness: One of my Short Stories was accepted when I submitted it to an online magazine!

Kitty Graduates

March 2, 2006

Diary!

You know, you really have to kick the habit, and stop hiding in such obscure places! Why, exactly, were you hiding in the bathtub, anyway? I know I didn’t put you there, that’s for sure. Maybe Sweetie did, just for a joke or something. In fact, I’m sure that’s what happened! I’ll get him back, Diary! I’ll wait until he’s asleep tonight, and then I’ll hide that beloved mailman’s cap of his, and see how he likes that!

Anyway, where was I?

Ah, yes! I was about to give another report on those marvellous grandchildren, the two of them at college, that is.

First off, Anthony is still being hounded by his pack of girls, so much so that he’s taken to locking himself in his room for a few hours a day, just to get some piece and quiet. I think he knows which one he prefers now, but he hasn’t told us yet.

It’s actually Kitty I’m talking about today, though. She’s as happy as a cockroach in a plate of cat food at the moment, because she graduated top of her class, up at those hallowed halls of higher learning!

kitgrad

Ain’t it great?

She’s looking forward to working with Royce, at least until he retires, and I don’t know what she’ll do after that. Still, I’m sure she’ll do great at whatever she puts her mind to.

Well, Diary, my old friend, I must dash, we’re having a ‘welcome home’ party for Kitty, and I need to get myself sorted!

Payton Fills Us In

March 1, 2006

Hello, friends!

Payton here again! I’ve a little bit of good news to take care of before I get to the really great news, so I hope you won’t mind too much.

Danae and Erin are both back home again now, and they’ve both settled in wonderfully. Danae, who is a Souvenir Whittler at the moment, is waiting for Aiden, who’ll be in the neighbourhood in a few days, although, that’ll be a small wedding, just Danae, Aiden, and her folks, probably
(That’s because any more guests than that, and they just goof around instead of being proper wedding guests.)

danaemove
Anyway, this is the house that Danae now calls home, and it’s cosy, too. Aiden picked it, I might add, when they were down in the Hill a couple of weeks ago.
erinmove
This is where Erin has chosen to live, while she ascends the ranks to Criminal Mastermind, which has been put on hold for the time being. She spent a fair bit of money on that house, and had to take the first job that came along. Currently, she’s a Fast Food Shift Manager at the local McDonalds, and she’s not at all happy about it.

Now, onto the great news!

I was walking, excuse me, floating past Chrissy and Dom’s house earlier today, and I happened to see this:

chrisbub1
So, the second child of the fifth generation is almost with us! I wonder whether it will be a boy or a girl, and I wonder what they’ll name it? Dom’s been on the phone to all of his friends, bragging about the fact that he’s going to be a father soon, and Jamie and Jane are about ready to burst with excitement. There’s been no news yet on whether Kelton’s getting a new sibling, but you’ll be the first to know.

Take care now,
Payton out!

Anthony At The Dorms

February 28, 2006

Hey again, Diary!

How are ya today? Okay, okay, I’ll lay off the funny business!

Sweetie Sheldon and I took ourselves up to the college to visit the grandkids today, just to see how they’re getting along.

They’re both doing absolutely fantastic! Kitty’s keeping her spot on the Dean’s List, and Anthony’s managed to score a spot, as well. He’s decided that he wants to major in Philosophy, which, while a little strange, wasn’t all that unexpected, he always was such a thoughtful boy.

anthdorm

He seems to be quite popular with the girls, as well, although that could be because, in an 8 room dorm, he’s the only boy. He hasn’t let all that attention go to his head, however, although he told us he’s feeling a bit pressurized to pick one so the others will leave him alone. Apparently, they follow him to class like some kind of weird guard of honor, and sometimes he has to sneak out of his window just to get to his classes in the first place!

I think he has a pretty good idea of which one he likes best, but he’s only just started, for Pete’s sake, there’s still plenty of time for him to decide! Sheldon’s all for him choosing one quickly, but hasty marriages are bad for everyone involved. I should know, just look what happened with my first husband, the jerk. Not that I’m saying Anthony will turn out like Fatnose Pierce or anything, all I meant was that being hasty doesn’t have anything good going for it. Another example would be my mom and daddy.

I don’t do much painting now, Diary, not when my hands hurt so much, but they still sell like hot cakes when I do, and every so often, I’ll hear that one of my older ones has been auctioned for charity, and the price some people will pay for a painting is utterly incredible!

Anyway, I better go now, Sweetie and I are heading over to Munchkin’s for dinner.

Dylan In Love

February 27, 2006

Well, you sure can see a lot when you’re dead!

Anyway, this is Missy here, checking in! It was great seeing my dad, brother, and sister Josie, again, I can tell you that! Dad explained that I was now the Chronicler for my family, gave me a few tips, then let me loose on the neighbourhood!

I must admit, it is kind of fun to spy on your relatives, especially when they don’t know you’re there! My Ed’s slowly putting himself back together again, and I’m looking forward to when he joins me up here. Ella and Ralph don’t quite know what to do with themselves now that the twins are up at college, although they do come home for weekends, and as for those troublesome twins of mine, well, they’re still not speaking to each other, and Ed is absolutely furious with them. I don’t blame him, really. Their children are doing well, though, so that’s really good.

Actually, it’s Ella’s twin boys that I wanted to tell you about, or more specifically, Dylan, the dark-haired one. He’s only in Sophomore year, and he already has a pretty good idea of who he’d like to marry when he graduates! That boy works fast, I’ll say that for him!

dilinlove
The girl in the photo is Stacy Ternynck, which I have absolutely no idea how to pronounce, but that doesn’t matter. I haven’t seen anyone that head-over-heels since my Ed and I fell for each other! These two, though, are always hugging and smooching on each other! And they don’t even worry about who might be watching them! Ed and I were never that bad, but then again, we weren’t living in the dorms when we got together. The younger generation just doesn’t have the same set of morals as their elders, I guess.

Anyway, long life and happiness to him, and Stacy too.

See you again soon, I hope
Missy Hutchings

Chrissy’s Small Wedding

February 26, 2006

Hello again, everyone!

How have you all been? There’s been quite a bit happening around here lately, anyway.

First up on the list would be Chrissy and Dom’s wedding, which, unfortunately, was just a small affair, owing to the fact that the builders built the house too big, while the yard was relatively small, too small for a party, anyway. Chrissy was furious about that, but Dom pointed out that a wedding is a wedding no matter which way you do it. That seemed to satisfy her a little, anyway, and they got married in their front yard.

chriswed
(I really need to fire myself. I thought that house was brilliant, until I discovered I’d built it on a really tiddly little yard. I need to stop building houses at crazy hours of the morning.)

They certainly look happy, don’t they? Although, I have to agree with Chrissy about the house, it does look just a little too big, but I suppose it won’t seem that way when the little one’s start arriving! Still, I hope they’ll have many happy years in that big mansion of theirs!

There’ll be plenty of chances for more weddings, though, because a little birdie told me that Danae and the love of her life got engaged right before the Senior exams, and I can vouch that it’s true!

danaeen
The love of her life, I can now say, is Aiden Green, and he quite clearly loves Danae to bits, although, I hope he gets rid of that ridiculous hairstyle before the wedding.!
(Don’t worry, Payt’, I’ll make sure he gets a new do! I thought Mohawks went out of fashion, anyhow?)

That nice little scene happened about an hour before Danae had to head off to the last exam of her Young Adult life, and I’m a little surprised that she passed, given that she had her head full of wedding plans!

danaegrad
As you can probably guess, she’s heading home to the neighbourhood right now, with her house all ready for her! She’s a lot happier with her new house than Chrissy was, I can tell you that! We could all hear Chrissy yelling from King Street (where the house is), and we were at the big Denzel house on Front Street at the time! She’s got an excellent set of lungs on her, our Chrissy!

There were actually two graduations today, the other being Royce’s eldest, Erin, who is now more determined than ever to become a Criminal Mastermind, and she has actually told her parents. Allyn was absolutely furious with her, but Royce just shrugged, a little resigned to it all.

eringrad
Anyway, time for me to leave you now, my friends.

Take care now,
Payton out!

Anthony’s Off To College

February 25, 2006

Hello, Diary!

Gosh, it’s almost midnight, and I really should be heading off to bed! First thing first, though. Sweetie Sheldon and I have been over at Munchkin’s for most of today, as it was Anthony’s turn to leave the nest, and head for college. He’s still not sure what he wants to do yet, but I’m sure he’ll figure it out. Munchkin’s at quite a loose end about what to do now that both her children have flown the coop, and she misses them both like crazy. Anthony has promised he’ll call as soon as he’s all settled in, and we all know he will.

One thing’s for sure, though: he won’t be lonely while he’s up there, not with Danae and Erin, who aren’t too far from graduation, his sister, Kitty, and Danny and Dilly Mellon. Plus, Eric and Finny will be heading up to college quite soon. They’re going to have quite a crowd up there before long!

Speaking of Kitty, she’s still determined to go into counselling when she graduates, even though Royce is nearly ready to retire now.

anthgocol
Anyway, this is the photo my Sweetie took of Anthony heading out to the cab, whose driver, in the grand tradition of cab drivers, sat on his horn as if he had somewhere better to be. I’ve never been able to understand that. Do they teach them that at cab-driver school, or something?

Anyhow, I really must dash off to bed now, I can hardly keep my eyes open! Actually, I think I may just crash on the couch, it’s closer!

I’ll write again soon, diary, you can count on it!
Good night!

Jim and Fran get bigger

February 24, 2006

Hello, my friends!

Wasn’t it awful about Missy? That leaves only one of Bobby’s children alive and well in the neighbourhood now, and the shock of her sister’s death nearly sent Sasha to join us. Sheldon hasn’t left her side, they’ve taken the oxygen tent away now, and the doctor said it was just a small heart attack. None of us have ever seen Sasha look so frail, or so old! Even worse, Andrew and Brian didn’t show up for the funeral, assuming one would be there kept the other away, although their children were there, thanks to Cherry and Jill. Poor Ed isn’t taking it very well, and he’s decided that he’s cutting his sons out of his Will for not having the decency to put aside their differences for their mother’s funeral, and has decided, instead, to divide their share into trust accounts for George, Lee, Georgia, and Henry, on top of what they would have received in the first place.

Anyhow, enough about that, and onto other family news. Kelton has mastered walking and talking, although he’s still having a bit of trouble with potty training, but there’s still no news on the sibling front.

In other family news, two of our living members celebrated a double birthday today. There wasn’t a party, or even birthday cakes, but that didn’t bother the two children all that much. Although Cooper had wanted the children to have a birthday bash, Annie said it wasn’t very appropriate, it being the day of her Aunt Missy’s funeral, so she won. But, like I said, Jimmy and Fran weren’t at all bothered, they were just happy to turn 5 and 13 respectively.

jimmytod

franchild1
Young Jimmy is a fine looking young man, if I do say so myself, and he’s already excited about going to school so he can make lots of friends, even though he’s always gotten along so well with his sister. But, then again, Fran will be after a new set of friends now that she’s a teenager.
franteen
They aren’t very alike for siblings, are they? Even funnier, to my mind, is the fact that my baby daughter is now middle-aged! It’s funny, because I can still see Jamie fussing over her on her 2nd birthday, which was right before he left for college.

Well, it’s time I went about my ghostly business now.

Take care now,
Payton out!

Bye Bye Missy

February 23, 2006

Nobody could call Ed Hutchings stupid.

He had not worked his way up to the Chief of Staff position at Victoria Hill Memorial by standing around, or kissing anyone’s back cheeks. So, when he awoke suddenly in the early hours of Monday morning, and saw that Missy was not by his side, he was sure something was wrong.

Sometimes, Missy would wake up in the night hungry, but that wasn’t the case this time. He couldn’t smell anything cooking, and besides, Missy had a habit of humming or singing to herself when cooking. There was no sound from the TV, so she wasn’t watching infomercials to ease a bout of insomnia, and there was no sound of running water which would indicate she was in the shower. Ed supposed his wife could be asleep in her favourite chair, but something inside told him that wasn’t the answer, either.

He rose slowly, absently making the bed, went to the half-open door, and was about to call his wife’s name when he saw it.

byemissy
(something went funny with the night/day settings there for a while, but it seems to have come right now. That’s why it looks like Missy is having an early dinner, when it was, in fact, almost midnight.)

She had obviously been in the process of preparing herself some late-night lobster when Bobby called another of his daughters home. Ed had been a doctor, and knew his wife was gone, but something inside made him check, just in case there was something, anything, he could do, even though he knew it was hopeless.

There was nothing he could do now, except phone the family. They would all know what was up, a phone call after midnight in the Hill meant that someone had died. Ed knew he had to make those calls, but he couldn’t help but gaze at his wife one more time. they had so many years together, and now there was only the memories left.

(That was a shock, I mean, I thought Ed would go first! I must remember to update the family tree. Also, I’m a little worried about what Sasha will do when Ed goes, because I’ve just discovered she has a mega-crush on him.)

The Mellon Twins Settle In

Dear Mom and Dad,

Daniel and I thought it was about time we wrote, and let you both know that everything is going great up here at college. Daniel has decided to study Drama, and I’ve settled on Art. I know, they’re the original ‘Dipso Duo’, but we can always change our minds.

dandorm
I took this one of Daniel and his new home, and let him talk me into helping him unpack, before heading off to my own dorm, which is just around the corner.
dyldorm
It’s not much, but it is home for the next few years, although Daniel and I are thinking about renting a place later on. I’m sure you know that we both passed our Freshman exams, and we both got on the Dean’s List, and all that stuff. Grandma and Grandpa came up to see us yesterday, and both seemed rather shocked at how big the place has got since they were here.

Is Grandma all right, Ma? She really didn’t look very well yesterday, and Daniel and I are both really, really worried about her, and we’re pretty sure that Grandpa was, too.

In case you’re wondering, neither of us have girlfriends yet, although we’ve both been out on a few dates, and both of us seem to have secret admirers! Erin and Kitty aren’t doing much in that respect, are they? Speaking of the relatives here at the college, we usually spend a lot of our time with them, and Danae, when she’s not to busy with the love of her life, although we have no idea who he is at the moment. At least, not yet. Rosie might be able to tell you more about that.

Anyway, I’ll say goodbye now, as I’ve got a date.

Love and hugs,
Dylan

P.S: Daniel sends his love.
